Lake Sakakawea and the Missouri River System are second to none when it comes to freshwater fishing. In terms of sheer numbers of walleye Lake Sakakawea is NUMBER ONE.
Northern pike are coming back in a big way in Sakakawea. There are numerous fish pushing 8-10 pounds already, with many huge fish likely to be caught in the next several years.
Along with the fishing opportunities provided by Sakakawea, dozen of smaller lakes in the Williams County area provide many enjoyable outings as well.
